January 2021 PBI Desktop Release - Internal Server Error (500) Publishing

We have a suite of PBIT files generated from previous versions of PBI Desktop. November 2020.

When we load the PBIT files into January 2021 PBI DEsktop and refresh all the data comes in and there are no errors or warnings. The report can be read and operated correctly.

However when we publish the report the PBI Service we get the Internal Server Error (500).

I have been through all the "CURRENT FILE" settings to make sure I have populated any additional settings in the report that may have not been around in November.  Same error.

This just isnt one file. Its PBIT PBIX and a numebr of files - this is not a corrupt report file.

Also tried to upload the file online.
Get Data > Files > Local File, and gets the following error;
Processing error: M Engine error: 'System.Web.Extensions; <pii>Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: input</pii>'.

This is URGENT for us. We have no connectivity for our content to the service.

Content that worked fine only a week or so ago and prior to the Jan 2021 update of PBI Desktop.

Where is a correction at ?

This has been two weeks.

We cannot use PowerBI - We are being forced to pay this month for a PowerBI Pro account we cannot use.

where is the urgency to have this problem resolved - its pretty major.

Still waiting on a resolution to this issue.

I tried uploading the PBIX through the service itself bypassing BI DEsktop and got the following error.

We have tried a September Desktop, a December Desktop and a January Desktop and publishing fails each time.

As above we have bypassed the desktop and uploaded directly to the service and still get an error.

Wont please someone resolve this BUG its having a huge impact as none of the soltuions we have produced can be published - All re SQL Server Database sources.

I stripped  PBIX all the way back to no visuals and 1 single simple query and still the Error

I need to elevate this issue and have priority placed on it.

Why has a response taken so long when its a matter of urgency ?

Anyone know where else I can get this looked at

I have the same issue and it seems that after 1 year there still no one came with a solution to this problem, how is this possible?
