Issue/Bug: Data Source Connection Type - Blank

Hi,

 

After upgarding to the Nov 15 2021 release (Version: 15.0.1107.165) of Sept 2021 Power BI Report server, this issue occurs.  For all the Power BI reports deployed to the PBI report server, when the report has more than 1 type of data sources, one of the data sources' Type becomes blank.

What’s the data source type of your secondary data source?

Hi,

It does not matter what data source type it is as long as there is more than one type.  Multiple reports have this issue with different kinds of a mix of data source types such as Excel file, SQL database, ODATA.  Only one type is displayed correctly and there is no pattern which one.  Thanks.

I think you can first go to the support ticket creation page the search for the issue you faced and click continue to create a ticket if they are not helpful:

I have a same issue on report server with Sep 2021 version.

Have you resolved it? 

If so, please share how to fix it.

There is no appropriate ticket category for Power BI report server.  But I opend a ticket anyway: Case 2111290040008156 .  thank you.

Hi did anyone manage to find a solution for this problem, i have three data sources (2 sql server and 1 csv file) and the connection type is blank for the csv when setting up a schedule refresh on the report server

Whats status on this? I Have a Blank Connection type after uppgrading to Power BI Report Server (September 2023).
