Information is needed in order to combine data on Desktop

With Desktop july version (2.95.983.0), when I combine very simple xlsx files stored on my PC I have an error.

When I do the same with june version, I haven't error...

I saw there is Issue about this subject "resolved", not for me 😉

Removing the privacy check is not a solution for me and I cannot remove the labels (Azure Information Protection) on files due to our company security policies.

For me it's a bug on Power BI desktop

Hi @dranny ,

Could not reproduce it in my side as far as my test. Based on the error message, seems like thie combining paramater 'Parameter1(2)' has been quoted in other queries 'Source' step.

Did this current report have any other tables or queires which have not be loaded into power query? You can try to open a new .pbix file to check, if it reminds there are other files which could be recovered, try to remove them to check it.

Advocate I

I use 2 very simple Excel files in a folder. I use source "Folder" type, and I combine the files, It's very "standard", "Parameter(1)" is created by "Power BI" when it combine file.

With no "Azure Informaton Protection" (on my personnal PC) it's works, on my Professional PC no.

I create this video to present this error.

File 1 as tag Azure Information Protection to "Internal", File 2 not ...
