Histogram vs. bar chart difference in column chart

When creating a 'Stacked column chart' out of quantitative data, the chart should return a histogram instead of a barchart.

In other words, if I'm not mistaken, there should be any spacing between the bars when the data is quantative.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Anonymous,

For the stacked column chart, you can change Inner Padding value to specify space between bars. To make column chart as a histogram chart, you can set Inner Padding values as 0, see:

Thank you for your reply.

I might have miscommunicated a little bit. What I actually meant was, Power BI should return a histogram by default when the X-axis values are quantitave.

It's not an urget bug or anything, but rather an implementation of 'protocol' in statistics. But I might be missing something :).

Hi @Anonymous,

You can use the custom visual Histogram Chart directly.

Thank you. It is a good solution.
But as a nice-to-have I meant to for the axis to detect the variable thank.

Either way, it works, thanks :).
