Help identifying reason unable to open reports

I would welcome your help working out why my Power Bi reports won't open on a new laptop.  Here is the fault report:

Hi @Robert-Charts

 

Please check if the issue happens to one specific report or all reports. 

Please start Power BI desktop with Run as Administrator option, then click on File -> Open in Power BI desktop ribbon section to open this report.

@v-qiuyu-msft Thanks for reply. It affects all charts when opening. If I start with a blank chart and connect my data it then gives error reports when I try to select a visualisation.  It happens when I Run As Administrator.

I'm a little confused now. From your original post, the issue is that you are not able to open a report. But from your second post, it looks like the issue happens when you add a visual to the report canvas.

 

Would you please clarify the exact issue? It would be better if you could share a screenshot about the issue. Do mask sensitive info before uploading the image.

It happens both when I try to open a file and also if I start with a blank sheet and then try to add a visual.  I can record a video if necessary and post a link to it.  But I was hoping the fault report I posted would explain what is going wrong.

Please update Power BI desktop to the latest version 2.74.5619.621 then test again. If the issue still occurs, please create a support ticket to let engineers look into the issue on your side.
