Export to Excel Failed

Hi Team,

We have a table in the PowerBI report, which we are trying to export to excel, when we export the excel file gets downloaded successfully, but when we open it, it is giving an error as shown in the attached snapshot.

The error says We found a problem with some content in 'xxxxxxxxxxxxx.xslx'. Do you want us to try to recover as much as we can? If you trust the source of this workbook, Click Yes.

When we click on Yes to get the excel file repaired, it is opening but it is not giving any data inside it, all we can see is an empty excel sheet.

Could you please tell us how we can get this resolved.

Regards,

Ashwin Vasudevan

Hi @Anonymous,

Was the Excel file generated by export data feature or Analyze in Excel feature?

Which Excel version do you use to open this Excel file?

Best Regards,
Qiuyun Yu

Hi @Qiuyun Yu This is for the Excel file generated by export data feature. We are using Excel 2016 for opening the downloaded excel file. Regards, Ashwin Vasudevan

Hi @Anonymous,

Does the issue only happens to this table visual? Please export data from other visuals in the same report to see if the same issue occurs.

Hi Qiuyun Yu ,

Thank you for the reply, we just tried in other charts in the reports, they are all working fine. Only that table is giving this error.

Ashwin

Hi @Anonymous,

Please try to recreate the same visual as this problematic one, then export data again to see if the same issue occurs.

Best Regards,
Qiuyun Yu
