Excel plugin not working

When trying to login to the excel plugin an error is received stating 

"Request to a web service failed"

This post suggests that its a depricated feature, but our finance team use this a LOT and have multiple excel models hanging off the back of PBI models

Please check the if the credentials are valid. Make you you have logged into Power BI with the account that has permission, and verify that you can view and access the dataset in Power BI that you're attempting to access in Excel.

Access from Excel to Power BI Pro Services has been diabled via Personal Version of Excel. This functionality is available only in Business Version of Excel using Microsoft 365 Business.

Also, the option 'Power BI' in the command line of Excel is no longer valid.

The access from Excel is now from the option 'Data' -> 'Get Data' -> 'From Power BI'.
