Error: "Cannot convert the value null to type table" on loading any table through direct query mode

Using a custom connector that work for builds prior to the latest Jan 2018 build, when making connections via direct query mode and loading a table, an error will show up "Cannot convert the value null to type table". The last ODBC call that is made to Power BI before the error happens is SQLForeignKeysW. Has Power BI's handling of this call changed in the latest build?

There is a new desktop version 2.55.5010.521 released on 2/5/2018. Please update your Power BI desktop to this version then test again.

The issue is still present in the February build.

As you are using custom connector, please check if this connector needs to be updated as well.
