Embedded report not showing in preview mode in SharePoint Site

For some reason I'm trying to publish a report to a SharePoint online site so other members can see it. I have done this weekly in the past with no issue. However when I embed the code on the page, there is no preview. It only appears gray. Although report can be seen when expanded to full screen mode however we would prefer to see the preview directly on the page Please any advise on how to resolve this issue will be appreciated.Kind regards Elizabeth

Do you use Embed in SharePoint Online feature to embed the report in SharePoint? 

Based on my test, the report displays when we put the URL generated from Embed in SharePoint Online feature, without entering full screen mode. I would suggest you test again.

Thanks for replying.

The version in my organisation is SharePoint 2013 and not SharePoint online. I have retested this morning as advised and still the same.
