Duplicates introduced by Power BI Desktop as result of loading from Dataflow

Dear Microsoft

Please fix this bug causing duplicate rows in the model itself when importing data from a Dataflow in the September 2019 release of Power BI Desktop 64 bit.

There are no relationships to this table ODS_WF_USERS.

Screenshots added.

Kind Regards

Jude Moore

Hi @jude_moore

Power Query is case-sensitive while data model is not. In Query Editor, please add a index column in the ODS_WF_USERS table, apply the change. Go to Data view, filter the Name equals to 'VIRDEEM', find the returned index column values. Back to Query Editor, filter the index column with these index column values, check if related Name values are the very similar as 'VIRDEEM'.

Hi Qiuyun Yu

Exactly.

Screenshot 1 is Power Query and there is only one VIRDEEM. You might had expected the issue to occur, but in this case, the DAX model is the one that has the duplication issue. Please see Screenshot 2 and 3.

Thanks

Jude
