Donut tooltip is not coming in dashboard

I created a donut tooltip and that seems to be work good at report page,  but sometime it is not coming in dashboard. coming On report pageNot coming on dashboard

Hi @PraveenRaj,

Based on my test, if we pin a report live page to a dashboard, the report page tooltip which contains Donut visual can display fine when we hover on the line chart visual in the dashboard. 

In your scenario, I would suggest you test again to see if the issue still occurs.

 I earlier pinned as live page, but the issue takes place. Yesterday once again i deleted the live page and added to dashboard again, yesterday works fine, but today while i'm opening the dashboard it displays the default tooltip. I do not know the root cause of this issue. Kindly tell me if you know.

I got information below: 

"This is by design. You are only pinning one page. The tooltip page is a different page. User could have many different tooltip pages all linked to one report page, we don’t want to pin many pages behind the scenes. The “pin report page” feature is not designed this way. Drillthrough pages and QnA pages are also not functional if you pin a page with visuals that use these features.

The real bug here is that we don’t clear state properly for the report page tooltip if you navigate from report to dashboard after showing that tooltip. We will fix this and then it won’t work at all."

     I got your point, now the issue makes some sense. Thanks for giving the exact point on what is happening on that point. Kindly let it know to developers knowledge to rectify this .
