Dataset Failure Email Notification Emails changed and no longer contains link to specific dataset

Hello PBI Team!

Something seems to have changed recently (in the past week or two) with Dataset Refresh Failure notification emails. They used to contain a link directly to the Dataset, but now that part is gone. Personally we have many reports/datasets with the same name in different workspaces so it is impossible to determine which dataset actually failed.

Please bring that feature back to the email notifications.

Hi @thnerd

Based on my test, the email triggered by failed schedule refresh contains the link to dataset. Would you please test again?

Hello Qiuyun,

Thank you for the follow up. I have included two very recent examples, one includes the link and one doesn't. This leads us to believe it is a conditional situation, whether the condition is a report setting or the condition is the type of failure, I do not know.

Thanks!ref3.pngref4.png

I hunted down the failure from the previous post and have copied the message from the failure just in case this helps. It might be some logic in the notification engine which depends on the error type.
