Dataflows ridiculously & unusably slow

Created a new dataflow, and connected to Salesforce (Objects).  It took 9.5 minutes to list the set of Salesforce objects. Then upon selecting an object, the preview of the data still hadnt appeared after 5 minutes. 

The same operation in the Power BI Desktop took about 2 seconds to show the list of tables, then another 2s to show the preview of the selected table.

Having a similar problem.  the "Validating Queries" step seems to run endlessly.  I suspect it's timing-out, really, and the web interface is not timing out when data-connections are timing-out, but it's difficult to tell, really.  I've tested this withone-table dataflows with very-small tables with queries which run in miliseconds via commend-line on the Postgres DB-server to which our PBI Gateway is connecting to laod and refresh dataflows.

In my opinion, if you want to get a solution for this kind of dataflow problem as soon as possible based on your specific situation, I suggest you to open a support ticket to get direct help from the technical support team of Microsoft to have a remote session them to help you to make sure if this is an issue existing in the Power BI.

We are having the same issue... Some minor changes to existing dataflows are getting stuck in the "Validating Queries"... Those changes are kind of "routine" ones and the validation steps normally takes a few secornds or a minute at most.. Not today though after a few attempts...

Wondering if this is related to a change announced in the roadmap to precisely speed up that validation step??
