Data Slider Not publishing correctly

When I publish a pbix file with a data slider from power bi desktop the data slider does not appear when viewed via the website. It only lists it as a horizontal slicer. See screenshots.

This issue should be same as the one mentioned in this thread. The workaround is to explicitly set the mode before publishing. (Change to some other mode and change back to between).
