Dashboard element borders appearing on our client portal on the browser when hovering over it

For some reason, dashboard lines are showing up on our Power BI dashboards embedded on the portal our clients use on the browser when hovering over the dashboard. We used Chrome, Edge, and Firefox to see if this problem persisted across browsers.

Below, you will see, we are hovering over a shape, but the element's borders are showing. This never happened before. Is this a problem on Power BI's side? It just happened today. We have no idea how to get rid of it. Its very unprofessional.

Does anyone have any feedback on how to fix this?

Hi @jamestieu1

How you embed your dashboard? Embed in your self-developed app or embed in some portals like SharePoint? If visit the report from the workspace directly in the Power BI service, will you see this issue either? Even you refresh the browser page or clear the cookie/cache or switch the machine, this issue is persistent? Is this issue taking place on specific report or all the reports?

Hi @v-cazheng-msft , it is our own app. We embed through pointing it to the workspace ID and a SQL backend that picks up the filename. It is taking place on all reports. It happens when we view it in incognito mode on all browsers. so I don't think the cookies or cache should impact it

Hi @v-cazheng-msft ,

Looks location specific. We VPN into Netherlands and then re-opened the portal and its gone. We are in Toronto, Canada.

Just wanted to add that we also seem to be experiencing this problem here across all of our reports when they're published to the Power BI service. Hovering over elements gives them a white outline, and then you're able to click on them and they get selected with a gray outline. This seems to be across all of our reports across all of our workspaces, happens whether we use different web browsers/different machines, and regardless of whether we've cleared browsing data or not.

If region does matter, we're USA based.

@twDC yes, looks like VPN is the only solution at the moment but not sure if you can ask that to all your users.

Hi,

We are also experiencing the same. The visuals on the page all have borders around when hover over.

Its probably not region specific, its probably the way in which power bi updates get rolled out region by region.

We are north europe

Please can it be investigated/fixed? I'd rather not go through the support ticket process.
