Couldn't load the schema for the database model

Hey, there, 

We are using Power BI Report embedded in the Azure web app with the direct Azure SQL connection. Our Power BI report was working fine last week. This Monday, suddenly , it stopped working and showed below error:

Couldn't load the schema for the database model
We couldn't retrieve the data model for this report. Please try again later.

We didn't make any Power BI report or data changes at our end.  The erorr message didn't give us too much detail information. We tried to publish the Power BI report again, it didn't work. Then we tried to use smaller size of the source data , like one record to check if it's related to the data size, it doesn't work either. 

Can you please help us to solve this issue ASAP? since we have an urgent client deliverable schedule.

Hi @tylerbw,

1. Did you change your password of Azure SQL?

2. Did you update the firewall of the Azure SQL?

3. Did you check the settings of the data set in the Power BI Service?
