Correct ISO country codes

In ArcGIS map, ISO-3 country codes didn't show the right location of some countries, for example, Belarus (BLR) situated somewhere in Africa.

Many thanks

@polinabragina

I can repro the same issue as you. I've reported it internally to Power BI Team: CRI 45800851
I'll post here once I get any update about it.

Please also let me know if there are other ISO-3 country codes except BLR which cannot be located correctly in ArcGIS map.

Best Regards,
Herbert

@v-haibl-msftAlso Ireland (IRL) code choose Iran location, Slovenia (SVN) situated somewhere in Gambia,
Israel (ISL) choose Iceland location, North Korea didn't have any location.

@polinabragina

I've got response from the ESRI Team.

There's a workaround for this issue:

When editing a report with ArcGIS Map visual:

  1. Press the menu button of the visual ('...' icon)
  2. Press 'Edit'
  3. Go to 'Location type' tab
  4. Make sure 'Represent locations as' field is set to 'Boundries'
  5. Under 'Location type' select 'Exact match (most accurate)'

After these steps, countries will appear correctly.

@v-haibl-msft Hi, I found that in this case also there are some mistakes at the map. Congo and DR Congo mixed up. COD - is the code for DR Congo, but showing the shape of Congo. And COG code didn't show any shape. Could you please fix that mistake?

has this been updated to include DRC yet? I am still having issues mapping it, even with this Esri fix outlined above. Thanks.

I'm seeing this problem with the DRC as well, data coded as "Democratic Republic of the Congo" is being overlaid on Congo. All other references are not working.
