Can't override existing dataset by uploading from file

Hey Guys,

we would like to upload new 'Power BI desktop' file (.pbix) file instead of existing one.

today from some reson we couldn't do it. when we get the pop up "A dataset with the same name exists" when we press 'replace it', noting happend. we have tried at least 30 times with different files and different 'group workspaces'.

when we tried to upload new dataset that not existed in the dataset list in workspace, the file was uploaded successfully.

please look at the next screenshot to see the issue:

Have you tried on different browsers? I just tried the same scenario but cannot repro the same issue as you. Could you please try to open the updated PBIX file, and click the Publish button to republish the report and dataset to Power BI Service? You should also be able to repalce the existing dataset in that way.

Best Regards,
Herbert
