Can't connect to "Azure DevOps (Beta)" connector, timeout appears

Hi Team,

I can't connect to the service "Azure DevOps (Beta)". The service keeps timing out while displaying the message "Waiting for analytics.dev.azure.com".

Please help me connect to Azure DevOps (Beta).

(Image attached).

The steps I took to reproduce this are below:

  1. Open PowerBI desktop
  2. Click Get Data
  3. Click Online Services
  4. Choose "Azure DevOps (Beta)"
  5. Enter Organization and Team project
  6. Sign in with valid microsft login for the above project
  7. Choose relevant data view e.g. Tasks - Last 30 days
  8. Click Load
  9. Issue: Page times out after message says "Waiting for analytics.dev.azure.com."

This is the last screen that appears before PowerBI shows a timeoutThis is the last screen that appears before PowerBI shows a timeout

Many Thanks,

John

Hi @Anonymous,

I have test on my side with Power BI desktop version 2.67.5404.581 64-bit (March 2019) but not reproduce the issue.

In your scenario, once you select the table eg: Tasks - Last 30 days, please click on Edit instead of Load button, go to Query Editor, check if the table data can be retrieved successfully. If the data is loaded in Query Editor, then click on Apply button to load data to data model.

Hi @v-qiuyu-msft,

Thank you for looking into this for me.

Unfortunately the Query Editor also gave me a timeout error.

Here are the steps I took to reproduce this:

  1. Repeat steps from original comment up to choosing a relevant data view
  2. Click Edit
  3. Blank query editor appears (attached image 1)
  4. Timeout error appears after some minutes "DataSource.Error: The operation has timed out
    Details:
    https://analytics.dev.azure.com/lta/_odata/v2.0-preview/$batch" (attached image 2)

Many Thanks,

John
