Calculation group and slicer bug

When I place a calculation group column in a slicer, I lose the Selection controls section of the Format pane. If I use the Ordinal column (or any non-calculation group column), I have the options. Below is a GIF I recorded to explain the issue.

@Daniil ,

I have made a test but couldn't reproduce this issue on my side. My power bi desktop version is 2.85.681.0 64-bit (September 2020).

I've upgraded to the latest version (2.86.902.0), and I still get this issue.

@v-yuta-msft could you please prove you can see the Selection controls section when you use a calculation group in a slicer? My GIF clearly shows the section disappears.

@Daniil it should be fixed in Dec release.

We had the same problem in our project and as a workaround just create the slicer based on a normal attribute and with the format painter apply the configuration to the slicer using the calculation group.

Good luck and remember not to abuse on calculation groups 🙂
