BUG - Role Updates through XMLA endpoint and SSMS

After adding B2B or Direct Federation users to roles in Powerbi (either through the portal or TMSL as described here Troubleshoot XMLA endpoint connectivity in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Docs) you are unable to make further changes to the roles through TMSL.  The work around is to remove the users from the roles manually in the service and then rerun the TMSL script.
