App content disappearing when user logs out and back in to the Power BI service

I recently published three apps for a client and the behavior described below is occurring to all of them:

 

  1. Publish app with any combination of conent (Dashbords and/or report and, of course, dataset(s))
  2. Click 'Go to App' link. The link redirects to My Workspace.
  3. Copy and paste the App URL and it lands in the app as expected. All published content is available.
  4. Manually navigate to the app and it lands in the app as expected. All published content is available.
  5. Log out of the Power BI service.
  6. Log back in to the Power BI service.
  7. Manually open the app.
  8. No content is available.
  9. Delete app and re-install from AppSource. Content is now available until I log out and back in.

If I Update App the content is also available again until I log out and log back in. Then it disappears again. I logged out of all sessions and use private browsing to test with the same end result. I work with a few different clients and this is the only one I can say is affected at the moment.

 

Is there a known issue with publishing apps and content within them remaining available?

I'm not able to reproduce the issue on my side. I would suggest you create a support ticket to let engineers look into the issue on your side.
