An item with the same key has already been added - since June 2017 update

Hi everyone,

I've updated to the new version of Power BI for June 2017 (2.47.4766.542) and since then my report isn't working anymore. It's been working fine for months but since this update, it gives me the following error : an item with the same key has already been added. I've searched for a solution and I've tried many things but none of them worked. I've gone back to the previous version of Power BI and the report is working again. The problem seems to be in the data that's coming from an Excel file.

Does anyone have the same issue?

Thanks,

Nina

Hi @ninaj,

Are you able to connect to Excel file data when in a new report without opening original .pbix?

Please enable the desktop trace, then open the original .pbix file use desktop Jun version, share the trace log with us around the time that the error throws out.

Best Regards,
Qiuyun Yu

@ninajI am having the same problem with the June update when I try to refresh the data. The problem  is with my Customer table coming from one of my SQL database. I thinking PBI team is working on it. Let's hope to get a fix soon. Let me know if you find any solutions in the meantime. thanks

I am having the same problem with the June update when I try to refresh the data. I had to revert to May 2017 Power BI desktop installation. It occured in one query, which loads data from Sharepoint folder. Although even others queries load data from sharepoint folder as well. When I tried to remove all query steps to keep only content of folder it didn't help.

I am also having the same issue since I installed the June update.

I am also having the same issue with the June update. Everything was working perfectly well while retrieving data from a SQL table. Had to revert to May update.

While refreshing the Query in Edit Queries, there is no error. Error is only shown when the query is applied.

Thanks

Hi all,

As I'm not able to reproduce the issue in Jun release on my side, please enable desktop trace log, repeat the step until the error throws out, then share trace log files with us.

You can download May desktop from here.

There is a newer release that what you state above. I think this has shipped yesterday or overnight.

It is 2.47.4766.801.

Try that.
