Hello community,
Im having a major issue with my A1 embedded gen2 capacity after refreshes of certain dataflows.
When the dataflow is running a refresh we se no activity on our capacity, but as soon as it ends it will spike up and plateau.
Below is an example:
The dataflow was set to refresh at 3:15 PM and ran for 3 hours. When it was done at 6:15 the capacity was stuck at 30% and wont come down.
Since we are running some test on setups, we had a few refreshes, and when we checked the capacity the day after it looked like this:
These dataflows are completly new, and the workspace is only a couple of weeks old, but we had a similar issues a few months back, but never found a proper reason or direct solution.
It is also worth mentioning it only happens on dataflows where we have some kind of heavier computing like several merges or groupings, our raw dataflows never seem to cause any problems.
Im really hoping to get your assistence on this matter, since last time we contacted MS support via ticket they tried to help us as well as they could, but sadly to no avail.
Have anyone experienced similar issues and if so, how did you solve it?
Best regards
O

Sounds like complex dataflows would cause this issue. Perhaps you can refer this document to try to optimize the specific dataflow about refresh:

In addition, about Embeded Gen2, refer: Power BI Embedded Generation 2
