0x80040E4E Error - OLE DB or ODBC

dear madam, sir

we use powerbi sql connections in powerbi desktop 

we recieve from time to time error 0x80040E4E

 

The individual refresh of queries works, but the full report refresh gives this error. 

In addion when we do the refresh in the cloud sometimes it seems to work.

Hi @Anonymous,

 

Do you connect to SQL database in Import mode or DirectQuery mode? 

When you refresh in Power BI desktop and error occurs, please go to Query Editor, check if any error in queries. 

 

Please also enable desktop trace log then repeat steps to reproduce the issue, check if any detail information logged in trace around that time. 

 

By the way, please try to run the latest Power BI desktop version.
