Customer full name does not seem to pull data entered as anythign other than general journal. is this correct/working as intended or am is there a particular expense/cogs item that must be used (i've tried them all at this point to no avail).
reporting seems to show the detail correctly in the column along with item/expense data but it doesn't seem to make it's way over to datasets

Thanks for sharing your QB Experience to us. I would also include some information it. When we transder all QuickBooks Online data to Quickbooks desktop this problem does'nt happens. In QuickBooks Online right side there is always a option Contact to our Support or Dial

can you clarify what you mean by transfer to qb desktop? is there some data bi doesn't access via QBO?

You can create relationships between different tables using appropriate field in Power BI Desktop and create reports by yourself.

Is there a way to use the "fx Report" table/function that appears when connecting to QBO via Power BI Desktop?
Here were my attempts but its says that i don't have credentials (even though I do and even used the owner's login info..)
Any help or guidance would be very helpful..

Thanks for the response. I'm using https://app.powerbi.com connected to a quickbooks online file.
it's clear that the income data correctly corresponds with the hundreds of customer:job categories in our file, but the cost/expense data does not seem to. I have tried to use other categories, in both the item and expense categirues as well as the expense and item categories from the general ledger but none seem to pull customer id'd data. the data is ID'd on the quickbooks side, as items entered with customer job details.

categorizing data using Customer Name allows for income but not cost/expense detail except for general journal transactions. Is this currently working as intended or is there a specific category i must use to get the cutomer breakdown for cost items. Now I only see costs that were entered as general journal entries, but not for regular expense or item entries.
