Unable to connect PBI Desktop to PWA (OData)

Hello,

We have hosted Project Online instance and I am trying to connect Power BI Desktop to our Odata feed with organization account but I'm always returned the following message.

Details: "We couldn’t authenticate with the credentials provided. Please try again"

Image_420.jpg

using the following URL
https://mycompanyname.sharepoint.com/sites/pwa/default.aspx

My user account of office 365 has the following licenses:

  1. Power BI Pro
  2. Office 365 business premium
  3. Project Online Professional

and it also has global administrator permission. I tried to connect with another user account which has the same licenses and administrator permissions, but it did not work too.

Hope for help.

That is not the correct ODATA URL. You need to use this one:

https://tenant.sharepoint.com/sites/pwa/_api/projectdata/[en-us]

Is this from Desktop or Service?

Yes, I was wrong with the OData URL.
Thank you so much for help!

Hi, there.

I have the same problem. I can't connect the PWA base to Power BI both on the PBI Desktop and on the Web Service. See the error in the prints. I have already checked the user permissions on PWA and the sharing permissions of the base, and they are ok. Was it a configuration problem?
