Partner Center Analytics

I'm having a problem with being unable to connect to the Partner Center Analytics Preview in PowerBI.

I am getting the following error:

Failed to update data source credentials: The credentials provided for the Partner Center Analytics Connector source are invalid. (Source at PartnerCenterAnalytics.)Hide details

The account I am using for authentication is a Partner Administrator with an Azure Premiem subscription (not sure if that's a requirement or not).  I've tried using multiple partner admin accounts but still getting the above.

I am a direct partner of Microsoft but not on the CSP program - I've been told I am still eligible to use the App though.

Has anyone else come across this?  Any suggestions on how to resolve it?

Hi,

I was facing the same error message and just to give it a try I got in touch with Microsoft Customer Support (opened a request through Partnercenter). They told me I need the "Admin Agent" Role additionally to the "Billing Admin" Role.  Reading https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/power-bi-app-for-direct-partners-install I thought that either one of both roles is enough.  After changing the Roles (I'm now Billing Admin and Admin Agent) the App is working fine.

Having this in mind, maybe being a Global Admin might be not sufficient for using the Power BI App also (because you need the appropriate Role in each different Categories)

Hope this helps at least some of you ...

Hi

Im having same issues, cant log in, with same error.

Where do you find this Admin Agent Role ? i cant seem to find it anywhere ?

Im looking (as my global admin account) in portal.azure.com, Azure Active Directory, Roles and administrators,

But here i cant find any "Admin Agent" ?

Leo

I've had no update on this.

I attempted to run the wizard again for it today and it's resulted in the same error...

I'm having the same issue. Was the bug ever addressed?

I believe this is stil on going.  As per a previous post, they have managed to duplicate the problem internally.  I'll try every few days and let you know if/when it gets resolved.

@davidatkin,

A similar bug has been created internally and the team is investigating the failure.

Hi Lydia, has there been any resolution to this?

They've made no progress and there has been no communication.

Thanks you for the reply @v-yuezhe-msft
