On Premises Date Gateway for SAP BW goes down very often

Our On-Prem data gateway goes down very often. 

Any tips on how to solve it?

Do you use October version of gateway? Do you get any error message? When you use on-premises gateway, please consider the following things.

• The gateway cannot be installed on a domain controller

• You shouldn't install a gateway on a computer, such a laptop, that may be turned off, asleep, or not connected to the Internet because the gateway can't run under any of those circumstances.  In addition, gateway performance might suffer over a wireless network.

We have a dedicated server, which we installed Windows VM and On-Prem gateway ( Enterprise). 

I will try to use Oct Release.

We are also facing same problem every week.  Also would like to know when the gateway is down will it also put off the schedules for dataset refresh. ?
