OData credentials issue - Power BI Online

Receive error when performing 'Get Data' for Planview CTM content pack using Power BI Online:

"There was error when processing data in the dataset. Please try again later or contact support. Message: The Credentials provided for the Troux source are invalid. Status Code 400"

It appears the Tokin (Password) was enterened incorrectly. Consequently subsequent attempts to Get Data 'do not' prompt for credentials and fail with the above error.

Additionally - Under setting, the Datasets is missing, so we can't update the credentials. So how or/where do we reset credentials?

@hernanjv,

Please check if you can connect to the planview PBIT file in Power BI Desktop.

Lydia,

Yes, we can connect from the desktop client. It's the online version of O365 which fails, and can't clear credentials.

@hernanjv,

After you publish PBIX file to Power BI Service, do you still get any error message?

We don't publish the client PBIX to PBI online. The client content pack is a Beta release from Planview. So we use the Online version for more comprehensive reporting.  So GET DATA is performed Online only.

@hernanjv

I know that you are using get data option in Power BI Sevice. You can publish PBIX file to Power BI Service and get same reports as that you use content pack in Power  BI Service.

Lydia,

Yes, we are aware you can publish the client PBIX to online. However the client content pack is a BETA version. We simply want to resolve the credentials for PBI online.

@hernanjv,

After publishing PBIX file to Service, go to settings and find the dataset, please check  that if you can enter credential under Data Source credentials. We need to verify if it is a Power BI Service issue via this method.
