Google Analytics Connection Pulling Through Incorrect Data

Hi all.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

I'm trying to pull in data from Google Analytics surrounding video plays. However, once the query has been run all of the numbers seem grouped into certain figures such as '17', '33' or '50'. Below are the links to images for both the GA data and Power BI's version:

GA: https://goo.gl/tyzBtr

Power BI: https://goo.gl/1PpDh1

There were only 4,406 rows imported after filters were placed on the query, so surely it cant be sampling?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @JoHo_BI,

According to your description, it seems that the data imported to Power BI is not the same as in Google Analytic, right?

In your scenario, please check the data when you connect to Google Analytic in Navigator window. Make sure the measure and dimension are correct to send to Google Analytic API to retrieve data.

If the data in that Window retrieved is different from the Google Analytic, as the connector in Power BI Desktop rely on the Google Analytics Core Reporting API, I would suggest you contact the Google Analytic for help by clicking here.

If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

Hi Qiuyun,

Yes, the data in that window is as you said it is - I will contact Google instead.

Thanks for the response!
