Analyze in Excel not showing correct options in filters

Hello All,

While building the pivot table in excel spreadsheet from Analyze in Excel, the filter options do not show the correct filtered values after another filter has been applied even though the data is being filtered correctly.

Consider the following report:

Name       Department

ABC              Sales

DEF             Finance

PQR              Sales

XYZ            Finance

If I filter on Department 'Sales', the report is filtered correctly:

Name       Department

ABC              Sales

PQR              Sales

However the filter options for 'Name' still gives me:

ABC

DEF

PQR

XYZ

Filters in Power BI desktop and service are fine. This only seems to be happen in using Analyze in excel.

Has anyone come across this issue before or anything I am doing wrong?

Thanks!

Hi Lydia,

Seems like this was a standard behaviour of the pivot.

Thanks for your help anyway!

Thanks!

@apollo89,

I am unable to reproduce this issue on my side. Could you please post a screenshot about how you create the visual and add filters in Excel?

Regards,
Lydia
