question relationships: video creating calculated columns

Dear edX Power BI Team,

I watched the video of Lab 2 called "creating calculated columns" and I have a question concerning the relationships. As in the Sales Table and in the Geography table are zip codes, can there not be made a relationship between those tables depending on the zip code (or the country)?

And If not, why exactly not? What is then the requirement for a relationship?

Thank you very much for your kind help!

Greetings,

Kim J. Novacek

Re: question relationships: video creating calculated columns

hi,

If you go through the lab instruction : Excercise 1 in lab 2 it is mentioned that the two tables Sales and llLocation donot have any column in common  for the relationship to happen so to create a new column CountryZip  .This is required as you need to extract out the sales datain later excercises based on the location. Thus, there this created relationship will help.
