Power BI Desktop Modelling > Lab 2 > Exercise 3: Year to Date

Can somebody please help me out to calculate the correct value for the following measure: YTD Sales Var %

Based on my calculations the answer is -0.50, which is incorrect 😞

Any hints on where i might be going wrong?

Re: Power BI Desktop Modelling > Lab 2 > Exercise 3: Year to Date

Did you format the measure as percentage? Also, it is asking for the absolute value, so make sure to drop the negative sign. If you update it to percentage and drop the negative sign, you may have the correct answer.

Thanks,

How do you even format the measure as a percentage?  I'm getting the wrong answer as well (.02) and can't decipher how to check that detail.

How do you even confirm you have the measure formatted as a percentage?  I too am getting the incorrect answer (.02), but am at a loss on next steps to correct myself.

In the Modelling tab select Format as 'Percentage'. You would get the correct answer in you have used the correct DAX expression.

Hi, yes, the labs account for 65% of the total grade.

Thanks @AnneSmith-LeX - would love to get more materials to have deep dive into it.

Is NLG comes with Power BI license or we need separate costs for it while integration with wordsmith or Narrative Science ?
