character issue

I create a query with odbc "select ação from dual" and the result is "ac~o". Some characters come all mixed up.

There is some parametrization to solve this issue?

Did you connect that odbc from Power BI Desktop? It appears some encoding issue.

yES, Connection is by odbc.

 

How to fix that encoding issue?

Depends on any (regional) settings, something??

 

Update:

 

(Oracle database)

Columns defined as VARCHAR2 CHAR show up fine; columns defined as VARCHAR2 BYTE come all messed
