Will upgrade from PRO to PPU (Premium per user) change the embedded API/urls?

Hi there,

We are planning on upgrade our Power BI from PRO (licences and groups) to Power BI Premium Per User.

Do you guys know if this upgrade will change the tokens/urls of the reports we have embedded in our website?

As I understood, Premium per user is a upgrade that does'nt touch the groups and reports structure apart from adding more features. If this upgrade changes something in our embedded reports I will have to plan the upgrade together with website programer.

Thanks in advance for helping.

Thank you Lionel.

Actually last friday we manage to approve a purchase of 1 PPU licence for testing. We tested and it worked just fine. Kept all the IDs and Keys. The migration of ther licences and groups from PRO to PPU will be smoothy.

For those who have the same doubt that I had, I would recommend this video where he clarifies PPU works same as PRO for embedded: https://youtu.be/cjom_GpqJG0?t=137

Many thanks!

Hi @Anonymous ,

"You can get a trial version of Premium Per User (PPU) through Microsoft 365, as long as your organization has not restricted PPU licenses. Trials are enabled through the portal, similar to how Power BI Pro licenses are initiated."

Using Premium Per User (PPU)

You can apply for a PPU trial to test it.

Best regards,
Lionel Chen
