While downloading Power BI report, it downloads an inappropriate file which has a type "File".

I am trying to download Power BI report which have 3 pages. By returning the "async Task<ActionResult> GetExportedFile" method like this. A file downloads, but  

it download type is FILE, which is not valid to open in any format. I tried to rename it with extension, but still that doesn't work for me.

did you look inside it? Does it look like a ZIP file?

No, it is not a ZIP file. When i open it in pdf, image viewer, paint, browser, it throughs an error like this.

 secondly, when i am trying to continue with this code:

it returns me this JSON in browser, instead of downloading the file:

Are you sure you are following all the required steps in the export process?
