Turn off IE7 compatibility mode in browser popup for OAuth flow?

I'm writing a custom data source extension which uses oauth2 to authenticate the user. When PowerBI pops up the web browser to show the user the login page it appears to be using IE11 in IE7 compatibility mode...but unfortunately the service I'm authenticating the user against no longer supports IE7. Is there any way to tell powerbi to not run IE in compatibility mode?
