Trouble installing power bi visual tools

Downloaded node.js and installed, restarted, then tried npm i -g powerbi-visuals-tools via powershell to get pbiviz. But everytime i do, i get npm ERR! code E400. the log just shows ERR! 400 Bad Request: powerbi-visuals-tools@latest. i'm using node v11.2 and npm v6.4.1. any help?

Please make sure your PC has good connection to NPM registry by opening https://www.npmjs.com/.

 

We also recommend to contact NPM support to get this issue resolved.
