Streaming dataset via ASA + other tables in same dataset via REST API?

Is it possible to have a streaming dataset with the following properties:

1) Fact table is created/populated via Azure Stream Analytics

2) Dimension tables create/populated via C#/REST API

3) Relationships implemented between fact & dimensions via C# REST API

4) Measures on the fact table implemented via C# REST API

So the streaming dataset I'm imaging is a mash-up of Stream Analytics and REST API, with one-many constraints between them. Is that kosher with PowerBI?

I am also interested in this problem.

I believe that it is not officially supported, as the warning in step 3 here states that existing datasets (with the same name) will be overwritten by ASA.

However, I have noticed that if there is any existing data in the dataset and you say, add or remove a column in the ASA output, then the old rows remain.

It is possible that if you create the tables and relationships in C# before starting the ASA Job they will continue to work after ASA begins populating data, but I have not tested it. And have not seen any documentation saying it would work.

If you do get this working, I'd love to hear how you did it.
