Report ID not found in the Workspace

Hi,

I am trying to embed a Power BI Report to a Web App. I am using the Sample Web App provided in the Github and the sample report. I am following the steps mentioned in the link https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/embed-sample-for-your-organization#embed-your-co...

However, I am still getting an error on running the application.

Error: "Report with ID: '26209ae2-8cd8-4ae4-8760-41aa589449ec' not found in the workspace with ID: 'fa957a68-fd4d-463f-9cd6-20003c3fe153', Please check the report ID. "

As per my knowledge I am giving the right id for both in the config file.

Can anyone help me identify if I am missing something here?

Thanks!

Hi Yashasvi,

I should have made it more clear. It's for the security and privacy to remove the Application ID & Application Secret.

Since you have gotten the error message and the config file is quite clear, this error is quite strange. I would suggest you check these items below.

1. Since the login account can keep its sign in status, please clear the browser history or use a new browser instead. In other words, make sure the account is the one you think. BTW, was there a sign in step?

2. Did you build your project?

3. Login the Power BI Service directly with the account to make sure the report is accessible

Hi @yashasvip,

Please remove the "Application ID" and "Application secret".

I just reproduced this issue. It could be the reason below.

Even we can embed the contents into custom applications, we still have to follow the rules of Power BI service. I tried with a free user. I got the same error message. Please check out if the user is a Pro user or the App is located on Premium.

Hi v-jiascu-msft,

The user is a Pro account user.

Do I still need to remove Application ID & Application Secret?

Thanks,

Yashasvi
