I have an ASP .Net application that has an embedded Power BI dashboard to consolidate some key information. The idea is to get to a scenario where the gateway gets, from time to time, the information directly from the application database. However, in the current prototype, I'm justing upload everything in the cloud and using the external link to show the dashboard in my application.
Everything was working fine but in the last days, any modification made in the BI was taking some hours to be updated in the public link. Moreover, and more critical, when accessed through my application or the public link directly, the dashboard doesn't leave the splash screen. The most intriguing part of this error is that initially, the BI was opening only when accessed from the on-premises server, after a while, the computers in the server local network start to have access, but when trying to access the dashboard (either by the external link or embedded in the application) outside the local network via VPN the BI still keeps stuck in the splash screen.
Does anybody have a clue on what may be happening? I'm building this prototype for a while now and have never had this problem before. Now I'm not very confident to release the product to clients knowing that this error may happen and I have no clue about what is happening.
