Power BI and simple Task Management - is it possible to realize

I have a DB for simple Task Management (task_name, start_date, due_date, etc.) and its visualization on Power BI. Also there is dataset for KPIs and also view of KPIs.

The question is:

Is there any option to create the following process on Power BI:

  • Review viz (some KPis),
  • click button (i.e. “New Task”) ----- open pop-up screen
  • review current and old tasks
  • enter new task and all its attributes
  • click button (i.e. “Submit”) ----- new entries in Task Management DB added.

I am quite new in Power BI 😞

@DKosta,

In this case, you need to use a combination of Power BI (for visualization) and Power Apps (for updating DB).

I'm not an expert on it, but I've heard that PowerApps can edit your source. Then you can embed Power Apps into Power BI report.

Hi @DKosta,

I think that PowerBi is not suitable for what you would like to do. PowerBi is a is a suite of business analytics tools that will help you to deliver insights on your data.

Hope that this helps.
