Not receiving Power BI registration email

Hi Folks,

 

  I have set up an Azure A/D User and given it an 'alternate email address'.  When I try and sign up to Power BI using that account it says 'Greate Go Check your email"  but I never receive an email at the A/D users email address (which should be the alternate one).

 

Does anyone know how to get this part working?   I suspect the instructions I am using for setting up PowerBI using an Azure account may be missing some information.

In order to sign up for the PBI account you first need to login to Office 365 account using the same credential of the AAD user. 

 

  1. Navigate to the Office 365 admin center (https://portal.office.com), and sign in with your Global Admin user ( or user may be) of your custom directory.
  2. On the left navigation pane, select Billing > Subscriptions.
  3. Select Add subscriptions + on the right side.
  4. Under Other Plans, find Power BI (PRO) and select Free trial or Buy Now
