New to Power BI

Hi ,

Our company want to use power bi for reporting and Analytics. We want to embedd  the reports/charts/ pie into our own application.

I understand that we must have power pi pro account to prepear the report and consume them.

What I want to know is that if we can have the pro Master account  so that we can create the pro accounts under the master account. In this way, wer can manage the other accounts under our organization.

Kindly advise us.

You have tu purchase dedicated capacity on azure to use Powerbi embedded, contact me if need help

Thank for the reply.  I want to know another thing is that if Power Bi pro account is enough to embed the chart in application or we definitely need embedded.

Hi there

You would only need one account to publish the reports into the Power BI Service.

Then you would need to buy a Power BI Embedded Capacity, after which you could then embed the chart into an application.

Thanks for the infomation. Another thing I would like to clarify is if we use our own server do we need to buy Power BI Embedded Capacity ?

Yes you would as it has to run in the cloud in order to render the reports before it is embedded into your application.

Hi ,

Thanks all for your suggestions. Now I encounter an issue. Hope I get a help too.

1) I created the new azsure free acount to test the power bi embedded.

2) But When I create storage account , it prompts me to create azure free acount.

3) I followed the link and clicked start free again.

4)  "We were unable to find your Azure tenant" Error message appeared.

What should I do?

I think give it some time to create the Azure Tenant.

You will always need a Power BI Pro license to publish content that has to be shared. That is part of the license agreement.

There is no such thing as a master Power BI Pro accounts. They are all Power BI Pro Accounts.

But if you want to embed Power BI into your application, you can look at Power BI Embedded, where you can embed it and control the access to the application via your own mechanism. In which case you will then be able to have a master account.
