We are trying to configure "on premise data gateway(recommended)" to consume hive data through ODBC.

Having following queries:
- On premise data gateway (Personal) is not able to connect with hdfs, spark data sources.
Wondering if same is the case with on premise data gateway(recommended).
- on premise data gateway(recommended) supports ODBC data source through manual configuration but not live query.
Does this mean it will support connection to hive through ODBC as well?
Issues faced :
-Gateway installed and configured but giving eror as gateway not correctly configured in power Bi web service.
Little help and pointers over this would be really appreciated.
If anyone has already configured on premise data gateway for connecting to hive data through ODBC driver, step by step guidance/ example would be of great help.
