Managing Dev,Test and Prod Environments in Power BI Embedded.

Hello Everyone,

Need help with managing Dev,Test and Production environments in Power BI Embedded .

Being new to power Bi, i am not able to find any standard procedure to be followed to manage the three environments for power Bi reports in Azure portal.

What should be the best practice to achieve the same.

Should we have differnt Collections or workspaces or datasets to manage the environments OR is there any functionality in Azure portal.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

AFAIK, there's no such standard procedure to follow to manage the three environments for Power BI Embedded. You can check this idea source control and vote it up.

One thing you need to know is that Power BI Embedded is deprecated. So there's no longer collections or workspaces. The replacement is Embedding with non-Power BI users. In the new approach, for best practice it is recommended to manage the reports in different tenant as mentioned in the pior link.
