Hierarchy Slicer limited to 500 items

I'm using the 3rd party plug-in called the "HierarchySlicer". First off this is such a great product that I wish Microsoft would adopt it and make one as part of the PowerBI built-in visualizations. Kudos to Jan, the developer.

As much as I love the visual, we're unable to use it because of the 500 item limitation that is placed on the filter. Most of our nested selections are well under 500, but some of the more granular views have as many as 4000 selections. I was wondering if anyone knew of any other creative solutions to this problem, whether it be a different visualization, or something else.

Just one solution that comes to my mind is to remove the nested levels to workaround 500 limitation.

We've decided to go with the standard Microsoft filters/slicers for the time being. Thank you for your help!
