Hidden visuals underlying data

Just a quick one - currently trying to have the slicers contolled externally/outside the iframe instead of in-app.

Got this working, but when I hide the slicer inside the iframe using custom layout then I can no longer get the data from this slicer to populate the external input - Just get an "Export data is not supported for this visual".

So does anyone know if this is possible, or otherwise if there's any way to get to and query to hypercube underneath to get this data from the report and then use report filtering?

Cheers,

Carl

Hi,  I'm doing this by having it visible, but underneath another visual, or actually just under a white square.
If you figure out another way to do it, then I would be interested to know how.

For anyone coming in - this is the best method if you need to use the slicer relationships.

Identify your slicers by code, and use a custom layout option. Set the default state for all visuals to visible, and add in specific layout elements to push the slicers behind (i.e. set Z axis to -1). This way you can see and interact with slicers if opening pbix, but embedded the filters disappear behind the shape.
