Embed Report into Peoplesoft?

I was doing a lot of reading and I understand that theres a few options when sharing/embedding a PBI report externally

Theres the "Publish" option, which creates a URL and the data is "public" - So its displayed anywhere without login needed

Theres the "Embed" option which is similar to publish, but does require a login

Then I was reading some info on "User owns data" and "App owns data"

Essentially my team was wanting to use PBI visuals to house some reports and display them within our Peoplesoft application. Given the data is HR and sensitive, the embed option seems feasible and more secure obviously.

But what if we want a "seamless" experience? Something similar to single sign on (SSO)?

Where a user would log in once through People soft - and once logged in, any PBI reports would just open up. I know theres some chatter about "user/app owns data" - But I wasnt able to get a clear answer if a seamless experience is possible?

I read through this article: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/embedded/embed-sample-for-your-organization

And I wasnt quite able to see a clear answer if a seamless experience is possible, or would there still be a login required

Has anyone tried doing this before? If so what steps/pre-requisites are needed?

Thanks in advance!
